Is God Real? This Father Will Tell You That He Is.

Brooklyn Schnarr was 5 months into her pregnancy when she was told by her doctor that the baby boy she was carrying had hydrocephalus.

Hydrocephalus, as you know, is a condition where fluid accumulates in the brain which results to increased head size.

In the case of the yet unborn Baby Schnarr, the doctors said that his condition was critical.  In fact, specialists said that there was over a 90% chance that he would either die right after birth or live but have brain damage so severe that any quality of life would be impossible.

It came to a point that his parents Nick and Brooklyn were already meeting with palliative care not only to assess what kind of life support can be done after delivery but also to discuss when to remove it and just let the baby go.

It was truly a difficult situation for the Schnarrs. Brooklyn had to move to a hotel close to the hospital as the delivery date drew near.  And Nick had to divide his time between his work, their two other children, Brooklyn and their unborn baby.

On July 8, Brooklyn went into labor.  And even before she was wheeled to the operating room to deliver via caesarean section, the doctors talked to them again about the use of a breathing tube after delivery.

What happened in the operating room left the doctors and nurses dumbfounded.  Baby Charlie Schnarr came out normal and healthy, even letting out a loud cry. The doctors said, “We do not have and cannot come up with a medical explanation for what we’ve witnessed here.”  But the Schnarrs know it was divine intervention that made this possible.

Baby Charlie stayed in the neonatal intensive care unit for only a little over a week then was able to come home to his two sisters:  Sophie and Lily.  He is said to have slight heart enlargement but which can be managed as he grows up.

And so, Baby Charlie Edward Schnarr is now all of four months old.  It is truly a miracle.  He is the much-anticipated only son and the youngest at that in a brood of three.  The Schnarrs could not be more thankful.

In his Facebook account, Nick posted, “I’m a practical person that certainly believes in science and medical technology, but I absolutely know, from the bottom of my heart, that God was involved in this. I give ALL of the credit and glory to him…Prayer is positively powerful. God is real, and he still performs miracles.”

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
